Just when we thought the slimy robes of the Ku Klux Klan had disappeared into irrelevance, bang goes a pistol and it lifts its ugly head again. Not since the days that David Duke dominated the headlines had we even thought about the evils injected into society by those bands of white hooded misfits.
A couple of weeks ago my neighbor, Gary Brasher, made a trip of a lifetime. He had a chance to hunt and fish for game that we here in St. Charles Parish only dream of. Brasher has an uncle living in Belgrade, Montana and he invited Gary on a 10-day outdoor adventure.

As our weather continues to cool off, community events in
St. Charles Parish have been heating up. With all the fairs and festivals going on, including the Destrehan and River Parishes Fall Festivals on the East Bank, residents from around the region are coming to St. Charles Parish. Let’s make sure we welcome these folks as we have a great time with our neighbors.
